Last updated: Sept 2025

At Remore Steading we believe that restoration, escape, and discovery should be accessible to everyone.

Whether you're browsing our website or planning a stay, we’re committed to ensuring that all guests, regardless of ability, can engage with our offerings comfortably and confidently.

1. Website Accessibility

We strive to make our website user-friendly for all visitors, including those using assistive technologies. This includes:

  • Clear, consistent navigation

  • Alt text for images

  • Keyboard-friendly functionality

  • High-contrast design and readable fonts

  • Compatibility with screen readers

If you encounter any barriers while using our site, please let us know—we’re always looking to improve.

2. Physical Accessibility

The Coach House is a renovated steading in the Scottish countryside unfortunately it is not 100% wheelchair friendly. Whilst we’ve worked to preserve its heritage, we’ve also made thoughtful adaptations to support guest comfort:

Access into the house is step-free & the downstairs bedroom provides an accessible option for any family members with mobility issues. The downstairs shower room is large, has a non-slip tray & comfort height toilet with stool. There is a shower chair if required.

All doorways on the ground floor, with the exception of the utility room measure 32 inches (81cm) or wider, and do not have a pronounced lip or a step at the threshold.

  • Step-free access to key areas (please contact us for specific layout details)

  • Non slip shower Tray

  • Comfort height toilet with footstool

  • Shower Chair available on request

  • Ground-floor accommodation options
