On our doorstep sits The Cairngorms National Park. It is a very special place with so much to see and do. The steading is nestled in amongst lochs, rivers, beaches and forests, all inviting exploration.
The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd is Britain’s only free-ranging herd of reindeer found in the Cairngorm mountains in Scotland. These tame and friendly animals are a joy to all who come and see them. Reindeer are not just for Christmas!
You can spot dolphins all along the Moray Firth Coast and also take a dolphin boat trip. The Moray coast is not only famous for bottlenose dolphins, but also seals, harbour porpoises and even whales, especially the Minke whale.
From cheeky monkeys and elusive wildcats to Scotland's only polar bears - there's something for the whole pack to explore! With one of the largest park-based conservation and science programs in the country, they fund, support and lead research projects locally and globally. One for the photographers. After a full year of studying the birds' fishing habits on a private lochan, local man Gordon McLeod - an experienced guide and photographer himself - has created a pair of hides at this secret location really near Aviemore that capture the most stunning angles of the Ospreys as they dive to fish.

Randolf's Leap - Findhorn Gorge
Within a 15 minute drive. This popular scenic walk visits a dramatic section of the River Findhorn, visiting Randolph's Leap where the river is squeezed through a narrow gorge. The route begins from Logie Steading where there are toilets, interesting shops, children's play area, heritage centre, and café.

The Moray coast is spectacular and host to many clean and quiet beaches where you can often spot sea seals and all types of wildlife. Nairn beach is only a 15-minute drive from Remore Steading.
Within a 5 minute drive from Remore Steading you can visit this picturesque Loch which has an ample amount of easy trails for walkers or mountain bikers.
