Culbin Woods at Sunset in Winter

Walking

There is something undeniably magical about this land. The ancient Caledonian pinewoods with their gnarled and weathered pines, the birchwoods turning buttery yellow in autumn, the desolate high peaks and sheltered glens with running burns - just being out walking in them, breathing in the sweet clean air and being immersed in nature is a restoration in itself.

Alongside the local walks we can recommend to our guests it is worth trying the Walk Highlands Website as an invaluable resource with detailed descriptions of walks locally and across Scotland.
