Our Animals
All our animals are pets and have names. The sheep and goats are well cared for and in return they help us manage our few acres of woodland, wetland, hill and scrub! You'll probably see them out and about roaming during your stay. They are friendly and you are most welcome to say hello. We can also organise for you to feed them.

Our two Alaskan Malamutes - Athena and Ajax
Don't worry if you do not like dogs or are allergic. They will not be inside or around the Coach House at any time. Athena is very friendly and gentle with both adults and children so would love to say hello if you wish.

Ajax is true to his breed and a hard worker. He loves to pull his scooter on Winter trails. Athena is more of a princess, preferring the luxury of a quiet sofa and roaring fire.

Bagot Goats - Mull, Skye, Lewis and Harris

Bagot Goats are a rare native breed and naturally curious; friendly but timid they are largely left to their own whims around the Steading.

Swiss Valais Blacknose Sheep

Our newest addition at the Steading. They pick up the slack when the goats take their afternoon naps! They are also friendly and gentle. If you would like to say hello and feed them please let us know.
