Booking Terms and Conditions

General Conditions

  • 100% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 21 day(s) before arrival or earlier. 0% refundable if cancelled after. 50% due at time of booking. Remaining balance due 7 day(s) before arrival. No security deposit is due.

  • We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance. If you choose not to do so then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur.

​

  • Remore Steading retains the right to cancel your stay at any point. Your booking will not be cancelled by the owners except in exceptional circumstances. Notification and explanation will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible. We will refund in full any monies paid. Please note, we cannot be held liable for any consequential loss you may suffer or to reimburse any incidental expenditure incurred.

  • The number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed Six (plus one infant) and only those people listed on the booking form can occupy the property. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition.

  • Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under twenty-one years of age.

​

  • The owner requires reasonable access to the property during your stay if it is deemed necessary; and in an emergency this may be without notice.

​

  • Holiday rentals commence at 16:00 unless otherwise agreed and guests are required to vacate the property by 10:00 on the day of departure. This allows the accommodation to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests.

​

  • Smoking anywhere on the property will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. This must be strictly adhered to and any damage or extra cleaning caused by smoking will be taken from your security deposit.

  • In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result.

​

  • Damage to property – Please treat the facilities & accommodation with care as you would your own home so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. In the event that you notice damage in your accommodation please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. If there have been any breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could advise us before you leave. Please do not attempt to replace anything - for most small breakages we hold spares and we will not charge you for normal wear and tear and the odd breakage, within reason. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday and you may be charged for any loss or damage found.

  • The owner reserves the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition.

​

  • In your absence, all doors to the property must be locked and all windows shut (including skylights). You are responsible to remind your guests to lock the doors and close the windows when they leave the property unoccupied.

​

  • Please note that in the event that any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement (£150 per set) will be charged.

​

  • Neither you nor your guests may in any circumstance re-let or sublet the property without permission, even free of charge.

​

  • The internet connection is available (at no extra cost) subject to technical availability.

​

  • The owner shall not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the building or grounds.

​

  • Vehicles, bikes, accessories and contents are parked or left at Remore Steading at your own risk, and the owners will not be responsible for any loss or damage. Please ensure your own household insurance covers your possessions.

​

  • A log/bike store is made available for your use for the storage of your personal sports equipment. It is unsecured and we recommend that you secure any items of high value with additional locks and security measures of your own (bike locks, immobilising alarms etc) since the owners will not accept responsibility for any theft.

​

  • Any non-compliance with the guidance in this guide is entirely at your own risk and we will not be liable for any resulting injury or damage.

​

  • All inventory must remain in the property and should not be removed from it during your stay.

​

  • Children under 18 must be supervised by their parents/guardians at all times.

​

  • We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking (or their guests) may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of others, including those in neighbouring properties.

  • If you have any problem or complaint concerning your holiday, please report it directly to us as soon as practicable and we will endeavour to put matters right. Any complaints not reported to us/the property manager at the time and only reported after you have returned from holiday may not be considered.

​

  • We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.

​

  • We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with respect.
